Oh, sweet Roxi. Such beautiful eyes! It's hard to see our puppies hurt. It's too bad we can't have wheel chairs and stair lifts for them like we have for people who get to that stage :(

Can't help you out with the duplicate knitting. Maybe there's a tutorial online? I'm amazed at all the information available out there now! I agree that the duplicate knitting would be the way to go.

Congratulations on the weight loss! Keep up the good work. You are in my prayers! To "lengthen" the hat so it fits over the ears just knit an extra couple of inches before you start the decrease for the top. If you are knitting top down just knit a couple extra inches before you start the beading.

I actually like the car on the mittens done in duplicate stitch. I know that is a pain, but it makes the car stand out from the mitten.

It's so hard to watch an older pet failing!! We have had that happen to us and we waited too long to let her go. We clung to her, wanting to keep her with us as long as possible, and she suffered longer than she needed to. It's so hard! Bless you!

What pretty beads!!! No ideas for the mitten. For the hat...how hard would it be to make it longer before doing the border? I don't have the pattern, so I'm not entirely sure, but in theory it should be doable!
