Fun Fur or eyelash booties

I really wanted to make a pair of furry baby booties. I decided to experiment a bit to see If I can come up with a pattern. I used the basic pattern I have to see if it would work. I tweaked it the pattern and here is what I came up with. I used some Lion Cotton Ease in Ice blue for the soul. I cast on 28 stitches and did 6 rows in garter stitch. The 7th row I switched to some fun fur/eyelash stuff I had (No clue as to what brand or anything) I worked this in garter stitch till the eyelash part measured 1 1/4 inches. For some reason when I use eyelash I seem to add stitches and I ended up with 32 stiches. Next 4 rows I k2tog twice and knit to the end. Next 2 rows I bound off 2 and knit to the end. I then knit one row with the cotton ease and eyelash together. I stopped useing and eyelash and work 1 inch in a ribbed pattern of row 1 K2 P2. Row 2 P2 K2. I bound off loosely. I am pleased with the results. I had made a few pair using only eyelash and they were cute but I like having the souls done in a worsted wieght yarn.

Felted Purse

Hello Out there, I thought I would begin this with an experiment that turned out really well. I have been dying to felt something but the cost of wool has prohibited it. A few weeks ago I was in a thrift store (one of my weaknesses is thrift stores and yard sales) and found a large skien of Reynold icelandic wool Lopi ( a discontinued color) for only a dollar. I used this and some Lion Brand Landscapes Pastel Meadows to create a purse. I knitted in the round on size 11 needles. I cast on 80 stitches and knitted till it measure 8 1/2 inches. The design I used was just a whim! Here is the result!
Here is the unfelted …

Here is the felted

I think I will run it through the wash again and see what happens.!
